ふつうに すごい usually amazing

これらの「ふつう」は規範的な日本語における「ふつう」ではありません。
場合によっては「そこそこ」だったり、「とても」だったりします。
こんな使い方もあります。
「週末、どうやって過ごしたの？」
「え？ふつうに過ごしました。」
とか、
「どんな音楽が好き？」
「ふつうの音楽です。」
という使い方もします。
この場合は規範的な「普通」の意味を持っていますが、使い方としては違和感があります。
「どうやって過ごす」の問いに対する答えとして「ふつうに過ごす」では、聞いた方の「ふつう」と答えた方の「ふつう」が共有されているはずがないので、正しく意図は伝わりません。
「白黒をはっきり表明しない」「空気を読む」ことをよしとする日本の高コンテクスト文化を強く感じます。

“Usually interesting."
“Usually amazing."
These “usually"s do not have the same meaning as the normative Japanese “usually". Depending on the context, they may mean “moderately" or “very".
There are also uses like:
“What did you do over the weekend?"
“Oh, I just did the usual."
And,
“What kind of music do you like?"
“Just usual music."
In these cases, “usual" has the normative meaning, but it may feel awkward to use it in this way.
When someone answers “just the usual" to the question “what did you do," there is no way for the listener to share the same understanding of “usual" as the speaker, so the intent may not be fully conveyed.
I think Japanese high-context culture, which values not clearly stating black and white and reading the air, is strongly apparent.
